ABOUT US

Rescue & Restore church is a community of believers. What does that mean, the word community? We believe that together in fellowship we grow closer to God and one another. The Bible speaks about iron sharpening iron. We believe that together

we grow stronger.

We are a community of believers. 

Rescue & Restore Church strives to be a church without walls. Jesus calls for us to go outside the walls to reach the lost and the broken. It is there that the lost will be found. Resce & Restore Church makes an effort to be like the church from the book of Acts, to see our city changed.

Rescue & Restore Church highly values our relationships with one another.

We look to grow through fellowship, and ultimately growing closer to God. We value the word of God, and the leadership of the Holy Spirit. We look to extend grace to all of the lost and broken, and lead those with no hope to the hope of Jesus Christ.

WHAT WE BELIEVE

STATEMENTS OF FAITH


1. THE BIBLE- WE BELIEVE THE SCRIPTURES, BOTH THE OLD AND THE NEW TESTAMENTS, ARE INSPIRED BY GOD AND ARE THE REVELATION OF GOD TO MEN. THIS IS GOD'S INFALLIBLE, AUTHORATIVE RULE OF FAITH AND CONDUCT. (MATTHEW 4:4 & LUKE 24:27)

 

      2. GOD-  WE BELIEVE THAT THERE IS ONLY ONE GOD, ETERNALLY CO-EXISTENT IN THREE PERSONS: GOD THE FATHER, GOD THE SON AND GOD THE HOLY SPIRIT. (JOHN 5:7)

 

3. JESUS- WE BELIEVE THE LORD JESUS CHRIST IS THE ETERNAL SON OF GOD AS REVEALED IN THE SCRIPTURES BY HIS VIRGIN BIRTH, HIS SINLESS LIFE, HIS MIRACLES, HIS DEATH ON THE CROSS, HIS BODILY RESURRECTION FROM THE DEAD, AND HIS POSITION AT THE RIGHT HAND OF THE FATHER. (JOHN 1:1-4 & EPHESIANS 2:13-18)

 

4. SALVATION- WE BELIEVE THE ONLY MEANS OF BEING CLEANSED FROM SIN IS THROUGH REPENTANCE AND FAITH IN THE PRECIOUS BLOOD OF CHRIST. 

(ROMANS 5:1 & EPHESIANS 2:8-9,13-18) 

 

5. HOLY SPIRIT BAPTISM- WE BELIEVE THAT ALL CHRISTIANS ARE ENTITLED TO AND SHOULD SEEK THE   BAPTISM IN THE HOLY SPIRIT WITH THE INITIAL PHYSICAL EVIDENCE OF SPEAKING WITH OTHER TONGUES ACCORDING TO ACTS 2:4. 

(ACTS 2:4, ACTS 10:44-46 & ACTS 19:1-7) 

 

6. THE RAPTURE- WE BELIEVE IN THE BLESSED HOPE- THE RAPTURE OF THE CHURCH AT CHRIST'S COMING. (1 THESSALONIANS 4:13-18)

 

7. DIVINE HEALING- WE BELIEVE THE REDEMPTIVE WORK OF CHRIST ON THE CROSS PROVIDES HEALING OF THE HUMAN BODY IN ANSWER TO BELIEVING IN PRAYER. 

(EXODUS 15:25-26, JAMES 5:14-15 & 1 PETER 2:24)

 

8. SANCTIFICATION- WE BELIEVE THE SANCTIFYING POWER OF THE HOLY SPIRIT THAT INDWELLS IN THE CHRISTIAN ENABLES THE BELIEVER TO LIVE A HOLY LIFE. 

(ROMANS 6:13-14 & ROMANS 8:1-2,11)

 

9. SECOND COMING- WE BELIEVE IN CHRIST'S PERSONAL FUTURE RETURN TO THIS EARTH IN POWER AND GLORY TO RULE A THOUSAND YEARS. (REVELATION CHAPTERS 19-20)

 SMALL BEGINNINGS

  1. Founded in 2016 by Pastor Jack and Linda Munley, with a small group of friends.
  2. Gathered around town until 2017 when we rented a store front in the heart of Olyphant.
  3. By 2020 we outgrew the store front and in January of 2021 we purcahsed a place to call Home! 
  4. In 2021, we remodeled the Church Basement to use as our temporary place of Worship!
  5. In 2022, we started remodeling the main sanctuary!

PASTOR JACK & LINDA

LEAD PASTOR 

Pastor Jack and his wife Linda founded the church back in 2016. He has a true heart for the lost of this city and this area. He wants to see true change in this area and will not stop until that dream is fulfilled.

 

PASTOR GRETCHEN & KARL

ASSOCIATE PASTOR 

Pastor Gretchen and her husband Karl have lived in the surrounding area all of their lives. They love God and love people. They are thrilled to be serving God's people at Rescue & Restore Church!
